Indigenous Community-Led Planning,
Engagement & Facilitation

Bergingia supports First Nations to design and deliver their own community-led planning processes that are culturally grounded, inclusive, interactive and fun.

Community-Led Planning

Beringia supports First Nations to gather, plan, decide, implement and reflect on the results of their vision and action for change based on language, culture, identity, values, strengths, needs and opportunities. Together we ensure that community-led planning processes are inclusive, holistic, creative and fun.

Connection to Culture

Beringia believes that planning can celebrate connection to culture, language, land, community and the built environment.

Participatory

We aim to inspire participatory action from all members of a community, including children, youth, adults, Elders, staff and Councils, women, men, and those who identify as LGBTQIA2S+.

Action

Key in how and what we do is to enable communities to make their own decisions and lead the change they define.

Beringia works collaboratively with Indigenous & First Nation communities on all types of projects.

It has been a great learning experience, learned a lot about LUP and how to carry out. Gave great ideas, especially shared experiences.
